Six officers hurt when police cars collide in Philly

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Six police officers were injured when two police cars collided in North Philadelphia.

WPVI-TV reports that the wreck happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at 22nd Street and Montgomery Avenue.

The officers were responding to a report of shots fired at 20th and Oxford streets.

One officer was taken to Temple University Hospital with a concussion. The others had less serious injuries. Four officers were in one car.

All the officers were wearing seat belts.

Police did not find a shooter or victims at the scene of the reported shooting.
