Two-car crash: Canonsburg police closed West Pike Street for about an hour Tuesday night following a two-car crash that left at least one person injured. Borough police said Ashley Arlia, 25, of Amwell Township, crossed the center line shortly before 8 p.m. and crashed into a vehicle driven by Amy Currey, 41, of Canonsburg. Police said a passenger in Currey’s car, whom they did not identify, was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment. Police did not say if Arlia would face any traffic citations in the crash.

Drug charges: Ryan Johns, 39, of Upper St. Clair, was charged with drug possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after officers with the District Attorney’s Drug Task Force said he attempted to sell two bricks of heroin to an undercover informant at the Southpointe park-and-ride lot shortly after 4 p.m. Tuesday. He was arraigned by District Judge David Mark and taken to Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Metal stolen: Chartiers police said $6,000 worth of pipe fittings were stolen Tuesday from a storage site on Reliance Road.

Assault and drug charges: A Monessen man faces assault and drug charges after Donora police said he punched a woman in the face while she was driving. Donora police said the woman alerted them she was assaulted while driving on South McKean Avenue at 2:41 a.m. Wednesday. She said her passenger, Derrick M. Dixon, 27, Monessen, punched her because she was late in picking him up at a local bar. During a search, police said they found Dixon with a large amount of money and more than 100 stamp bags of heroin. Dixon faces 112 counts of possession of a controlled substance, three counts of possession with intent to deliver, along with charges of simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. Dixon was arraigned by District Judge David Mark and taken to Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.

DUI charge: Amy Dunn was arrested Tuesday night for driving under the influence of alcohol after McDonald police said she drove into the yard of a home at 522 N. McDonald St. Police said they found her car stuck on a stump in the yard shortly before 8 p.m. after she nearly crashed into the house. Dunn, 47, of 219 Coal St., McDonald, was charged with DUI, reckless endangerment, reckless driving and trespassing. District Judge David Mark arraigned Dunn, and she was taken to Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
