An 80-year-old Washington man died Saturday from injuries he suffered Tuesday when he was struck by a car in his hometown.

Ezekiel Jackson was pronounced dead in a Pittsburgh hospital at 1:26 p.m. from head, neck and trunk trauma, said a spokesman for Allegheny County Medical Examiner Karl Williams. Jackson’s death was ruled an accident, the spokesman said.

Jackson was struck about 7 p.m. while he was walking across East Maiden Street, near South College Street, by a car driven by William Rodgers, 30, also of Washington, city police said. Rodgers was not charged in connection with the accident, Washington County Court records indicate.
