Collaboration benefits area students
WAYNESBURG – Staff from a creative collaboration with Greene County Career and Technology Center’s Child Care Program, Community Action Southwest’s pre-K program and Waynesburg Elementary School’s kindergarten class presented several programs this month for a group of students.
GCCTC students prepared winter-themed activities for the young students. Bonnie Parker, GCCTC’s Child Care Program instructor, read “Snowmen at Night” to the students and donated the book to each class.
The Child Care Class invites different classes to come once a month to the GCCTC to enjoy a new book, crafts, activities and singing. This collaboration benefits both the young students and the Child Care Program students.
The Child Care Program students gain experience working with young children in the class in preparation for their internships to other schools during their junior and senior years.
