Clarksville Lions honors J-M student
CLARKSVILLE – Kirsten Stoneking, a senior at Jefferson-Morgan High School, was honored by the Clarksville Area Lions Club as student of the month for February.
Stoneking, daughter of Stacey and Pete Stoneking of Jefferson, maintains a 3.8 grade-point average and is ranked ninth in her class.
She is captain of the volleyball and softball teams, student council president and also participates in student forum and the Spanish club. She also was awarded the Leadership Award from Rochester University.
She has rung bells for the Salvation Army, helped organize Thanksgiving food baskets, and planned homecoming 2013 and prom 2013. She also helps Chris Dugan coach 10 and under softball.
Stoneking plans to attend Waynesburg University to become a nurse.
