Pa. AG says email recovery slowing Sandusky review

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Pennsylvania’s top prosecutor says her office’s review of how the Jerry Sandusky criminal case was handled is going slower than anticipated because of a time-consuming process to retrieve internal emails once thought to have been permanently deleted.
Attorney General Kathleen Kane said in a statement Wednesday that another factor is a desire to offer people who will be discussed in the report a chance to comment.
It’s been a year since Kane launched the investigation that’s being led by lawyer Geoffrey Moulton Jr.
Kane says her office also needs approval from a judge to release certain details because they pertain to previously undisclosed grand jury matters.
Kane isn’t saying when the report will come out, but indicates she doesn’t plan to make additional comment on the topic until then.
