Action: The board noted that relocating the seven-unit T hangar at the Washington County Airport by Maccabee Industrial Inc., will cost $6,430 less than expected. Work to date has cost $1,003,424.

At the request of the finance department, the accounting firm Maher Duessel will audit the district attorney’s office grant from the state Gaming Control Board at a cost not to exceed $1,500.

At the request of the parks department, the commissioners approved the purchase of a precast concrete storage building for Ten Mile park at a cost of $19,258 through the statewide program known as Costars that does not require bidding. The proposed vendor is CTX Inc. of Spokane Valley, Wash. The building will be paid for from gas and oil revenue.

At the request of the purchasing and building and grounds departments, the county will advertise for bids to modernize the three elevators at the Courthouse Square office building and the single elevator at the courthouse.

The board approved the Washington County Hospital Authority’s grant of $30,000 to Mon-Vale Health Resources Inc. to purchase a digital mammography unit to be used at the HealthPLEX before Dec. 31.

Announcement: County offices will be closed Feb. 17 for the Presidents Day holiday.
