DUI arrest: Debbie Ann Stump, 40, of Fairmont, W.Va., was arrested Friday for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after she crashed her vehicle along state Route 40 near Sunset Beach, state police said. Stump was traveling east when she lost control of the vehicle, went off the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle then spun before it struck a tree and some shrubs, state police said. A passenger, Shawna Lynn Stump, 24, of Fairmont, was ejected from the vehicle’s back window. Shawna Stump was taken by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital. A 10-month-old baby was also in the vehicle. The baby was taken to Washington Hospital for observation. Additional information was not available.

Theft: A laptop computer was reported stolen Thursday from a PennDOT truck parked along Maple Road, state police said.

Burglary: A jewelry box and jewelry were reported stolen from a home along Patterson Road Friday, state police said. The investigation is ongoing.
