Harassment charge: William P. Molinaro of Washington was charged Sunday by state police with harassment and trespassing after he reportedly went to the home of Tammy Lynn Mooney, 10 Wigington Road, Buffalo, after being told to stay away. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.

Telephone tampered: Suzanne E. Casey, 519 Blaine Ave., told Canonsburg police Monday that a vandal tampered with her telephone lines and box.

Soft drink machines opened: State police said two soft drink machines outside Interstate Foodland, 1920 W. Chestnut St., Canton, were pried open and money stolen. A white man, about 40 to 45, with brown hair was seen driving up in a red Dodge Durango about 11:35 p.m. Thursday and prying open machines. A red Dodge Durango was also seen driving up to soft drink machines at Bubble Works in Washington Monday. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-223-5200.

Man charged: Township police were called twice to the behavioral health unit of Monongahela Valley Hospital, 1163 Country Club Road, around noon Monday, when a patient, Richard Dario Alvino, became unruly, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. Alvino, 43, of 617 Crest Ave., Charleroi, destroyed a room in the unit and threatened the staff and other patients, police said. He was arraigned before Ellis Monday afternoon charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, criminal mischief, harassment and disorderly conduct. Ellis ordered Alvino to reimburse the hospital for the damage that included a destroyed hospital bed valued at $9,500, an interior door valued at $3,000, and another door, window cage and lock valued at $500, police said. Alvino was released on his own recognizance.

Woman assaulted: James Leo Palmer was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and disorderly conduct following an incident at 222 Meldon Ave., Donora, at 2:49 a.m. Sunday, police said. When police arrived, officers found Palmer, 35, of 95 Fifth St., Marianna, being restrained by Kris Murray. The victim, Mandy Fronzaglio, no age or address listed, told police Palmer had beaten her, and grabbed her and bit her fingers, arms and neck. Fronzaglio said Murray had pulled Palmer away. Palmer was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and was placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond early Sunday.

Drug charges: Delores Jean Ernewein was charged with possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, obstruction of law enforcement official, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness following a traffic stop in the 200 block of Meldon Avenue at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. Donora police said Ernewein was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation. She quickly left the vehicle and appeared to be intoxicated, police said. She got back in the vehicle and appeared to be clenching two bags of crack in her closed fist. She struggled when officers attempted to obtain the bags and further resisted when officers placed her in the patrol car. At the station, police said, Ernewein, 48, of 420 Weiss St., Donora, was found with a white pill of suspected Hydrocodone, police said. As officers were walking her to a holding cell, she when grabbed the pill, which officers were able to grab from her, and she then began to yell obscenities, police said. She was arraigned before Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Fight arrest: Mark Allen Walker Jr. was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief and harassment following a confrontation at 10:04 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Fox Hole Bar, 127 S. McDonald St., according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. Walker of 101 S. McDonald St., was in the bar when he punched Jesse McCullough Jr. on the left side of McCullough’s face with his fist, causing bruising and breaking his jaw, police said. The blow knocked McCullough unconscious for several minutes. Walker was arraigned before Ellis Saturday and was placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.

Casino incident: A Washington woman, Robin Michelle McCarrell, was charged after she struggled with state police in the Pacers Bar, Meadows Casino, 210 Race Track Road, at 1:50 a.m. Sunday, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. McCarrell, 40, of 4 Scout Drive, was allegedly involved in a fight with another woman inside the bar. She was told several times to leave the casino area, but she refused and struggled with troopers, and became argumentative, police said. McCarrell was arraigned before Ellis early Sunday, charged with criminal trespass, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. She was released on her own recognizance.

Attempted robbery: A man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a plastic bag wrapped around his face attempted to rob the CVS store in Washington early Tuesday, city police said. The man walked into the store at 175 W. Beau St. shortly after 4 a.m. and passed the clerk a note demanding money from the cash register. A security guard then approached the man, who ran out of the store toward West Chestnut Street. Investigators are reviewing security camera footage in an attempt to identify the man.

Cabinets stolen: Becky McGill, 43, of 459 Addison St., Washington, was charged with receiving stolen property after city police said they found kitchen cabinets in her home that were reported stolen from a neighbor’s house Feb. 9. Police said the 10 wooden cabinets, worth a combined $800, were stolen from 479 Addison.

Drug charges: Bobbie Jo Verkey of Langeloth was picked up by members of the Washington County Drug Task Force Monday originating from an incident at 4:30 p.m. July 23 on West Chestnut Street, according to an affidavit filed in the office of District Judge James Ellis. Verkey, 30, of 812 Johns St., was charged with possession with the intent to deliver after she was found with 56 bags of suspected heroin in July. She was arraigned before Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
