Action: At the request of the Domestic Relations Department, the commissioners approved a contract addition of $2,083 per month with attorney Frank Magone through Dec. 31.
The board also OK’d a request from the Information Technology Department to add a temporary employee at the rate of $25 an hour for about six weeks.
Next meeting: 10 a.m. March 6 in the public meeting room of the Courthouse Square office building.

Action: The Washington County Salary Board, which is composed of the commissioners and Controller Michael Namie, acted at the request of Tim Kimmel, health center administrator, to immediately abolish the position of clinical coordinator for nursing, a position that paid $55,000, and a part-time clinical coordinator post paying $11,330.
The board replaced the posts with a registered nurse unit manager who will be paid $63,733.
The board also created a temporary full-time position of assistant director of the dietary department until the current employee returns from leave. Each position pays $39,000 annually.
