Simple assault: State police charged Joshua Lewellen of Mt. Morris with simple assault and harassment Wednesday after Danielle Ellis, also of Mt. Morris, accused Lewellen of punching her in the arms numerous times. Police said Ellis had visible bruising on her arms.

One-vehicle accident: State police said Jason Simpkins, 36, of Morgantown, W.Va., was traveling northbound on Interstate 79 when he lost control of his vehicle and hit an embankment shortly before 4 p. m. Feb. 16. Police said Simpkins was not wearing a seat belt and sustained minor injuries.

Theft: State police said aluminum wheels, radiators and a rear door were stolen from a Jeep at Maxon’s Body Shop in Mt. Morris between 5 p.m. Feb. 13 and 7 a.m. Feb. 14.
