WAYNESBURG – Business and lunch have always gone together well, with the latter providing opportunities for the former. So it should come as no surprise the two will be linked to one another yet again, courtesy of the Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

The General Membership Networking Luncheon, to be hosted from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Waynesburg, will be a prime occasion for obtaining information and networking with others. Sponsored by SeniorLIFE, the event will include a presentation, “SeniorLIFE: Health Care Solutions for Seniors Living at Home,” by Executive Director Megan Detwiler and Outreach Coordinator Bridget Dennison.

“It’s always great to see what’s going on in the community, and what plans are being made,” Dennison said. “This is also a chance for people to learn about SeniorLIFE and its programs for care of the elderly. A lot of people know we’re here, but haven’t deeply explored who we are.”

Another highlight of the event will be a presentation by state Department of Transportation PennDOT Project Manager Justin Simkovic. Entitled “The Morrisville Project – Your Questions Answered,” the presentation will cover the projected developments of the ongoing construction work at the nearby Route 19/21 bridge and railroad overpass.

A special guest appearance by Miss Rain Day 2013, Stephanie Mitchell, will add a flavor of local celebrity to the event as well. The catering menu will be provided for by Trisha’s Treats. Lunch will be served at noon. The cost is $15 per person. Time for networking will be available before and after lunch. The public is invited to attend and seating is limited. To make reservations, call the chamber office at 724-627-5926 or email info@waynesburgchamber.com.
