PITTSBURGH (AP) – The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for parts of western Pennsylvania.
Forecasters say temperatures will fall to single digits and wind chill readings may drop to 15 degrees below zero across much of western Pennsylvania from 1 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday morning, with gusts of wind up to 35 mph. That means that frost bite and hypothermia are possible if people don’t take precautions.
On Wednesday much of Pennsylvania saw light snow flurries. Highs of about 18 degrees were expected in Pittsburgh, and the low 30s in Philadelphia.
Thursday is expected to see similar temperatures and light snow across many parts of the state.
