Lenten series scheduled by Waynesburg Ministerium

The Waynesburg Ministerium has planned a Lenten series, “Walking with Jesus on the Road to Jerusalem,” on six consecutive Wednesdays beginning March 5 at the First Presbyterian Church.

Services will be held from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. Ferd Dolfi will be the accompanist. Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 12:45 to 1:30 p.m.

Local youth pastors and Waynesburg University students doing practicums at First United Methodist Church will preach.

The schedule is as follows:

• March 5, Craig Cross, youth pastor at First Assembly of God, preaching from Luke 9:57-61

• March 12, Martin Burns, youth pastor at the First Church of the Nazarene, preaching from Luke 13:1-5

• March 19, Dylan Ziegler, Waynesburg University student, preaching from Luke 13:25-33

• March 26, James Law, Waynesburg University student, preaching from Luke 14:25-33

• April 2, Alex Evanoff, Waynesburg University student, preaching from Luke 17:11-19

• April 9, Josh Sumpter, youth pastor at First Presbyterian Church, preaching from Luke 18:35-43
