Three masked men held a woman at gunpoint while burglarizing her Washington home Friday night, city police said.

Sherri Oost, who lives in the 500 block of Ewing Street, told city police that three men wearing skeleton masks entered her home through the unlocked front door about 9:30 p.m.

One man pointed a gun at her and told her not to move while the other two searched the upstairs and downstairs for items to steal. Oost’s 8-year-old daughter was sitting beside her, and her 13-year-old son was in another room, according to the police report.

Stolen from Oost’s bedroom was her safe, which reportedly contained $600, Xanax pills, and birth and death certificates. Her cellphone also was stolen.

Oost told police the men left in a black, four-door sedan.

A detective took impressions of footprints at the scene.
