The following defendants appeared recently in Washington County Court.
Pleading guilty before Judge John DiSalle were:
Gregg Andrew Kubasiak, 27, of 357 Geary Ave., Monongahela; burglary and theft, sentence – 9 to 23 months in jail with credit for time served followed by 12 months of probation; drug and alcohol abuse evaluation, restitution; no contact with victims.
James Curtis Harrison, 28, of 371 Shelton Ave., Brownsville; three counts of retail theft, sentences – 9 to 18 months in jail and 9 to 23 months concurrent with a Fayette County sentence; banned from Walmart and Gabriel’s stores; ordered to continue with mental health treatment.
Charles William Ryan, 42, of 630 Geary St., Monongahela; possession of a controlled substance; sentence – 12 months of probation.
Robert Lamar Stubbs, 27, of 430 Liberty Ave., Donora; carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and drug possession; sentence – 1 year less a day to two years less two days on work release; return firearm to its rightful owner, drug and alcohol evaluation and no contact with victim.
Jonathan William Minnie, 24, of 618 Eagle Drive, Belle Vernon; resisting arrest, violation of the drug act, flight to avoid apprehension and giving false identification to law enforcement officers; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail, 12 months of consecutive probation, forfeit $3,053, be evaluated for drug abuse.
Ryan Lewis Cargnello, 33, of 29 East Hallam Ave., Washington; drunken driving, second offense; sentence – 6 to 23 months of electronic home monitoring with work release and one-day furlough on Feb. 1; 18-month driver’s license suspension, 12 months with an ignition interlock device on vehicle, $1,500 fine, DUI-prevention education.
John J. Cossu, 66, of 45 Armstrong Drive, Washington; drunken driving, first offense; sentence – 5 days to 6 months on electronic home monitoring, highway safety school, drug and alcohol abuse evaluation, 12-month driver’s license suspension, restitution to state police.
Shaquore M. Yarbrough, 20, of 407 Griffith Ave., Canonsburg; possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; sentence – 9 to 18 months in jail concurrent with any violation of state parole, drug and alcohol abuse evaluation.
Jordan Edward Kovacic, 25, of 465 McKinley Ave., Washington; drunken driving, second offense; sentence – 4 1/2 to 11 months on electronic home monitoring with work release, $1,500 fine, 18-month driver’s license suspension, 12 months with an ignition interlock device on vehicle.
David William Kempf, 29, of 14 Acheson Ave., Washington; simple possession of a controlled substance, sentence – 6 to 12 months in jail on work release with parole after serving minimum sentence, drug and alcohol abuse evaluation.
David Glenn Thiele Jr., 36, of 1141 Robinson Highway, McDonald; two burglary counts, sentence – 3 to 12 months in jail on work release, restitution to Reaxis Co., drug and alcohol abuse evaluation.
Timothy Bonner, 41, of 312 Vance Drive, Langeloth; aggravated assault, escape; sentence – 23 months in the Intermediate Punishment Program with the first six months on electronic home monitoring; mental health treatment; refrain from drinking alcohol.
Gregory Miller, 49, of 1816 Brett St., Pittsburgh; receiving stolen property and conspiracy, sentence – 6 to 12 months in jail; additional counts of receiving stolen property and conspiracy, 6 to 12 months consecutive; drug and alcohol abuse evaluation; no contact with victim or co-defendant.
Appearing before Judge Katherine B. Emery was:
Troy David Pocky, 52, of 504 Underwood Ave., Roscoe; summary harassment; fined $300.
Others who appeared in court were admitted to various programs. If they successfully complete the program to which they are assigned, they can petition the court to have their records expunged.
Admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program after being charged with a first offense of drunken driving were: Kerrie G. Gill Sr., 78, of 141 Conti Road, Brownsville, 60-day driver’s license suspension; and Donald H. Tustin, 59, of 1982 East Maiden St., Washington, 60-day driver’s license suspension.
Admitted to the ARD program for non-DUI offenses was:
Jacob E. Sherman, 19, of 902 Duvall Road, Charleroi, who was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment; placed on probation for six months, ordered to attend anger-management counseling.
Admitted probation without verdict program was:
Raven Lynn Lacey Randall, 21, of 1592 Meldon Ave., Donora, who was charged with simple drug possession. Placed on probation for a year, drug and alcohol evaluation.
Admitted to theAlternative Disposition Program, Veterans Court, was:
Blaise Szekeres, 33, of 128 Wood St., California, who was charged with resisting arrest and criminal mischief. Ordered to pay restitution and admitted to program for 18 months.
