PITTSBURGH (AP) – Trial has begun for a western Pennsylvania man accused of having opened fire at a “Sweet 16” birthday party that he crashed two years ago, killing one person and injuring seven others.
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports that a witness testified Monday in Allegheny County court that 27-year-old Quentin Ingram of McKeesport pulled an automatic weapon from his waistband and fired into a crowd of 30 to 40 people in December 2011.
Eighteen-year-old Drew Henderson-Bracey was pronounced dead at the apartment near Pittsburgh.
Ingram is charged with homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and a firearms crime.
Defense attorney Christy Foreman asked jurors to “keep an open mind and listen to all the evidence, or lack thereof.”
