PENN HILLS, Pa. (AP) — A homeless man has been charged with setting fire to the home of a Pittsburgh-area couple who let him stay with them, after they argued when the man and an uninvited guest let themselves into the home and cooked all of the couple’s sausage.
Online court records don’t list an attorney for 21-year-old Mark Anthony Venson, of Penn Hills. Nobody answered the phone at the home of a woman who, court records show, bailed him out of jail.
Venson had been a guest in the couple’s home — also in Penn Hills — before he began acting strangely and was asked to leave.
Despite that, police say Venson returned on Thursday night, uninvited, with another guest.
When police were called, they say Venson set a fire in the basement. He faces a preliminary hearing Jan. 27.
