Car break-ins: Ruth Ann Anderson, 27, and Nicole Yarnot, 29, both of Donora, were charged with theft from a motor vehicle, conspiracy and prowling at night after borough police said they were seen breaking into vehicles in the 200 block of South Mellon Avenue on Jan. 7.
Theft: An envelope with $215 and a Target gift card worth $100 were stolen from an unlocked desk at a business in the 1800 block of Mayview Road, township police said. The items were collected for a baby shower. The theft occurred Monday or Tuesday and was reported at 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
Warrant pick-up: Police stopped Kristina Caldwell at 4:55 p.m. Thursday on Millers Run Road for an expired inspection on her vehicle. When she told the officer there was a family emergency, she was released from the stop, police said. After she drove away, the officer ran her license through 911 and discovered she was wanted on a warrant from Allegheny County. Police located her nearby and took her into custody. Caldwell, 29, of McDonald, was picked up at the station by members of the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department.
Sex assault charges: Michael Loring Nixon, 49, of 70 W. Prospect Avenue, Washington, was charged with indecent assault and corruption of a minor after city police said he fondled a 14-year-old girl three times in his residence Oct. 14. Nixon was arraigned Friday afternoon by District Judge Robert Redlinger, who set his bond at $50,000.
Assault charges: City police said they charged Kaleb Saunders, 22, of 1651 Weirich Ave., Washington, with aggravated assault, simple assault and conspiracy in relation to a fight outside Pickles bar at 769 Ewing St. Aug. 29. Police said he assaulted two men and one woman during the fight. He was arraigned by District Judge Robert Redlinger on Friday and jailed on $10,000 bond.
Fight in the street: Tammy Dalssandro, 33, of 592 E. Maiden St., Washington, and Nicole Ardeno, 29, of 595 E. Maiden St., Washington, were cited for disorderly conduct following a fight outside their residences shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday, city police said.
