Two women arrested as part of Charleroi drug sweep
Two women face drug charges following a sweep of two homes in Charleroi Thursday.
Charleroi Regional police said they executed a search warrant at 1005 Third St. and found 26 bags of suspected heroin, a digital scale and various drug paraphernalia about 11 a.m.
They charged the home’s resident, Brandie Lynn Sharpnack, 34, with drug possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was arraigned by District Judge Robert Redlinger and taken to the Washington County jail on $15,000 bond.
Later in the day, police raided a home at 901A Meadow Ave. and arrested 53-year-old Greta Jo Steiner. Police said they found six bricks of suspected heroin, 12 stamp bags and $2,150 in cash in various places inside Steiner’s home. She was charged with drug possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal use of a communications device, according to court records.
Redlinger arraigned Steiner on the charges, and she also was taken to jail on $15,000 bond.
