HEIDELBERG, Pa. (AP) — Police say an elderly Pennsylvania couple was killed when their car struck a backhoe that pulled into their path.

Authorities say a 17-year-old boy pulled the backhoe onto Pa. 116 in Heidelberg Township at about 5 p.m. Sunday.

Southwestern Regional Police say 86-year-old Roy Kline Jr. and his 85-year-old wife, Lorraine, of Hanover, died at the scene.

Police say the teen was not injured in the crash near his home. Authorities say Roy Kline was driving a 1998 Subaru.
