SOUTH PARK, Pa. (AP) — A Pittsburgh-area high school teacher has been charged with conspiring to grow, possess and sell marijuana.

Online court records show South Park Township police have charged 41-year-old Scott Houck, an 11-year veteran teacher at Thomas Jefferson High School, south of the city.

West Jefferson Hills School District superintendent Michael Panza says school officials have reviewed computers and the teacher’s room and determined there’s no link between his alleged drug trafficking and his duties at the school, where Houck teaches tech classes.

Officials say Houck has been out of town, but was due back Wednesday. That’s when township and state police hoped to arrest him on the arrest warrant they obtained Sunday.

Online court records don’t list an attorney for Houck, who doesn’t have a home telephone listed in his name.
