Crash kills 2, injures 2 in eastern Pennsylvania

MAHANOY CITY, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a head-on crash in eastern Pennsylvania killed two people and injured two others.

The accident occurred Friday afternoon in Mahanoy Township. State police say a driver traveling east on Frackville-Morea Highway lost control of his car and crashed into an oncoming vehicle.

The driver died, as did one of his passengers.

The Republican-Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1jvvdq0) the driver was a 51-year-old from Mahanoy City. His front-seat passenger, 52-year-old Robin Capone, was from the same town.

A back-seat passenger was taken to a hospital, as was the driver of the second car.
