Retail theft: State police plan to charge Rachel Lynn Eddy, 22, of Waynesburg, with retail theft after she was accused of stealing items at 12:34 a.m. Jan. 23 from Sheetz without paying.

Items stolen: A Stihl pole saw and a Raytec temperature sensing gun were discovered stolen Jan. 22 from the state Department of Transportation’s building on Jefferson Road.

No injuries: State police said vehicles driven by Richard Koratich, 51, of Waynesburg, and Nichole Baker, 33, of Wind Ridge, collided on Jefferson Road at the intersection with Dorothy Drive at 11:50 a.m. Jan. 24. Police said snow-covered roads contributed to the accident.

Hit and run: A 1995 Subaru Impreza parked and unattended on Renner Creek Road was struck by a hit-and-run driver around midnight Jan. 23. Neither the owner of the parked car nor the driver of the other vehicle was identified.

Theft: James Hoyle, of 483 Clarksville Road, owner of Hoyle’s Auto Salvage, told state police 29 tire rims were stolen from his business after 2:30 a.m. Jan. 2.

Trespass charges: Stacy Demaske, 25, of Waynesburg, has been cited for trespassing after she entered the BFS store at 10:45 p.m. Jan. 14, having been given notice previously not to return.

Weapons stolen: Christopher Murphy, 54, of Mt. Morris Road, reported to Southwest Regional Police a .38-caliber Rossi hand gun and four shotguns – a 20-gauge Mossberg, a 20-gauge Stoeger Condor, a 12-gauge Stoeger double barrel uplander and a 20-gauge Stoeger Condor over and under – were stolen from his home prior to Jan. 22.
