Assault alleged: David Allen Emery of Greensboro will be charged by California police with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct for allegedly assaulting a man inside Trustee Truss/84 Lumber, Poplar Street, Jan. 19. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Tires slashed: Marian Nichols of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police Monday that three tires on her vehicle were slashed while it was parked behind the Eagles Club, 122 N. Central Ave.
Man jailed: Jordan Lee Santo, 22, of 7 Birch St., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from his being found unresponsive from an apparent drug overdose about 6:15 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 700 block of Crest Avenue, court records show. He is in Washington County jail after being arrested on a warrant Monday and arraigned before District Judge Larry Hopkins.
Truck hits tree: Ashley Lynn Culp, of 602 W. Pike St., Houston, escaped injury Saturday afternoon when her pickup truck went off the road in the 300 block of Welsh Road and hit a tree, Chartiers police said.
Escapes injury: Florence Christy, 49, of Hickory, was not injured Thursday morning when her vehicle went off Western Avenue (Route 519) near Western Area Career and Vocational Center and his a tree, Chartiers police said.
Mother, son charged: Mary Elizabeth Powell, 55, and her son, James C. Antosh, 33, were each charged Friday by Mt. Pleasant police stemming from a Jan. 22 domestic at their home at 300 Hornhead Road, Westland. Powell told police that Antosh punched her in the ribs and slapped her in the face. When police were talking with Antosh, Powell reportedly started screaming. Antosh resisted efforts by police to take him into custody. Police said both had been drinking. Antosh is charged with terroristic threats, resisting arrest, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment. Powell is charged with disorderly conduct and harassment. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Dutton.
Driver charged: Betty Cross, 51, of Washington, was charged by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive at a safe speed stemming from a Dec. 6 crash on West Maiden Street at Hamilton Street, North Franklin. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Sister assaulted: Philip Parkin Jr., 28, of 1801 Beech Hollow Road, Robinson, was arrested Monday by McDonald police for allegedly assaulting his sister, Mickie Parkin, at their home. He reportedly threw her on a mattress and hit her in the forehead with his leg. She was taken to Weirton (W.Va.) Medical Center for treatment. He was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
Car entered: Lance Vallee of 820 Duncan Ave., Washington, told city police about 8:20 a.m. Sunday two GPS and necklaces were stolen from inside his unlocked vehicle, police reported Monday.
Theft report: John Williams of Washington told city police about 7:20 a.m. Saturday the aluminum siding had been stolen off the back of a vacant house he owns at 175 Highland Ave., police said.
Driver charged: Randy Bebout, 31, of Monongahela, was charged earlier this month by state police with DUI, leaving the scene of a crash, failure to notify police and careless driving stemming from a Nov. 30 crash in the 1100 block of Lone Pine Road, West Bethlehem. Police said Bebout left on foot but was found walking about a mile from the crash scene. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.
