PITTSBURGH (AP) – An employee of a McDonald’s restaurant in Pittsburgh is charged with selling heroin in Happy Meals.

The District Attorney Narcotics Enforcement Team in Allegheny County received a tip that an employee was selling heroin at a McDonald’s in the Bakery Square section of East Liberty.

Officers say customers looking for heroin were told to go through the drive-thru and say “I’d like to order a toy.” The customer would then be told to drive to the first window, where they’d hand over their money and get a Happy Meal box containing heroin in exchange.

Undercover agents Wednesday set up a fake drug buy and arrested 26-year-old employee Shania Dennis of East Pittsburgh.

Another McDonald’s employee was arrested earlier this month for selling heroin in nearby Murrysville.
