South Strabane Township police are obtaining a warrant for an Allegheny County man who reportedly assaulted a woman inside her Glenn Street home Tuesday morning.
Nathaniel D. Wilson, 32, of Wilmerding, is accused of assaulting 37-year-old Dasha Brewer.
Police were called about 8 a.m. to the emergency room at Washington Hospital for a report of an assault.
Brewer told police she was at the Fifty-Yard Line bar on Henderson Avenue in Washington with friends Monday night. Wilson, who she has known as an acquaintance for about a month, was also there. Brewer left the bar and went home.
About 5:30 a.m., Wilson appeared at Brewer’s door and told her his vehicle had run out of gasoline. When Brewer allowed him into her home, Wilson reportedly threw her to the floor immediately and started punching her. He also reportedly grabbed her by the hair and dragged her across the floor.
Wilson allegedly threatened to kill her and threw her cellphone across the floor so she was unable to use it, police said.
Brewer told police that she acted as if she could not move so Wilson would get off her. When he did, she fled outside with no pants or shoes. She got into her vehicle and went to her mother’s Canton Township home, where she called 911.
Brewer, who was able to positively identify Wilson, was treated at the hospital for cuts and scrapes on her knees and arms. She also complained of a neck injury.
Police went to Brewer’s home, where they found the door wide open. Items were broken and strewn throughout the living room.
Police will obtain a warrant for Wilson on charges of unlawful restraint, simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment. Police also learned he is wanted on bench warrants in Allegheny County. He is black, 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds.
