The Waynesburg Area Chamber of Commerce is reminding area residents of events taking place this month.

•Central Blood Bank will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Wal-Mart in Waynesburg. All participating donors 18 years old and older will be entered into a random drawing for a chance to win two Kennywood tickets. Multiple donors will win. Those planning to donate should eat well, stay hydrated and bring identification.

• All downtown Waynesburg businesses are invited to decorate their windows in a Rain Day theme. Judging will begin at 10 a.m. July 18. First prize is $100 plus ownership for one year of the Coveted Golden Watering Can. The winners will be notified so a representative can be present to receive the award. Second prize is $50 and third prize is $25. Entry forms available at www.raindayfestival.com Return them to the Waynesburg Borough office, 90 East High Street. Entry deadline is July 16.

• Rolling Meadows Car and Motorcycle Show will be held form 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 19 at Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, 107 Curry Road, Waynesburg, across from Greene County Historical Society. There is a $10 registration fee.

• The 36th annual 5K run/walk and one mile kids fun run to benefit Greene County Habitat for Humanity will be held July 26. Registration is 8:15 a.m.’ the kids run begins at 9 a.m. followed by the 5K run/walk at 9:30 a.m. The events begin at 595 East High Street by McCracken’s Pharmacy.
