PennDOT announces schedule

Greene County Maintenance Manager Jerome Simkovic announced the following tentative work plan for the week of July 7. All maintenance activities are conducted on a weather-permitting basis. Motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the usage of headlights.
The schedule is as follows:
• Pothole patching will be on Route 19 and Route 2003 in Mt Morris, Route 19 on High and Greene streets and Route 21 from the Junction Deli to Waynesburg Culvert pipe reconstruction is being conducted on Route 1021, Crucible Road (Cumberland Township).
• Major slide repair and ditch cleaning activities continue on Route 2023, Rocky Run Road (Dunkard Township).
• Shoulder cutting and grading activities will be conducted on Route 3001, Wheeling Creek Road to Majorsville Road (Richhill Township) and on Route 21 from West Roy Furman Highway (in both Richhill Township and Center Township).
• Cross pipe replacement is scheduled for Route 3001, from Ryerson Station (Richhill Township) to Nettle Hill (Jackson Township).
• Patching is scheduled on Routes 19 and 2003 in the Mt. Morris area. Patching will continue on Route 19 on High and Greene Streets in Waynesburg, and on Route 21 from the Junction Deli to Waynesburg
• Paving slide repair areas on Route 1011 will begin from the Swap Shop to Jefferson.
• State roads will be reviewed and signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and concerns addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
• SCI-Greene will conduct roadside litter pick up operations on Route 18, west of the Route 18/21 split toward the West Virginia line. Please drive carefully when encountering this moving operation.
