Cornerstone Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. today in the log courthouse on Greene Street. Rea Redd will tell Civil War stories. The public is welcome.
Carmichaels Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3491 will meet at 7 p.m. today in the post home. All members are urged to attend.
Greene County Democratic Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Waynesburg Veterans of Foreign Wars post to discuss upcoming events. All committee members are urged to attend. The public is invited.
A square dance, also line dancing, polka, cake walk and more, will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at Rogersville fire hall. Caller will be Dave Dahl. Cost is $5 per person or $8 per couple. Food and drinks will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event benefits the Center Township Volunteer Fire Department. For more information, call 724-499-5385.
Country music will be featured from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the New Freeport fire hall. Bands scheduled to appear are Sandy Lusco Hoffman, 7 to 8:30 p.m., and Country Sounds, 8:30 to 10 p.m. Cost is $4 and the event is sponsored by the ladies auxiliary.
