Inspire Greene County program kicks off next month

Inspire Greene County, an innovative program designed to bring community leaders from different arenas together, will kick off Aug. 9 at Waynesburg University.
The goal of bringing these leaders of commerce and culture together is to provide them with resources and information so they become more effective in four distinct disciplines – educating, collaborating, serving and exemplifying.
Cost is $495 and can be paid directly by an applicant or an applicant can be sponsored by his or her organization or business. An application can be downloaded at the Inspire Greene County website at inspiregc.org, or calling 724-627-6344. The program is sponsored by the First Baptist Church of Waynesburg and Waynesburg University.
The schedule is as follows:
• Orientation and kickoff – Aug. 9, 3:30 to 7 p.m., Waynesburg University. Presenters will be Will Knecht and Jacquelyn Core.
• Social service – Sept. 25, 3:30 to 7 p.m. Presenter will be Jonathan Johnson.
• Parks and environment – Oct. 16, 3:30 to 7 p.m. Presenter will be Jake Blaker.
• Education – Nov. 6, 3:30 to 7 p.m. Moderator will be Nancy Davis.
• Arts in Greene County – Dec. 4, 3:30 to 7 p.m., Presenters will be Jennifer Adamson and Becky Keck.
• Business and economy – Jan. 15, 2015, 3:30 to 7 p.m. Presenter will be Dave Baily.
• Health care – Feb. 19, 3:30 to 7 p.m. Presenter will be Cindy Cowie.
• Media – March 19, 3:30 to 7 p.m. Presenters will be Richard Krause and Doug Wilson.
• Criminal justice – April 16, 3:30 to 7 p.m. Presenter will be Terry Grimes.
• Graduation – May 21.
