Historical Society names new board members, officers
WAYNESBURG – A new season at the Greene County Historical Society means elections of new board members and new board officers.
Over the past few months, the historical society welcomed three new board members – Carol Teegarden, Marshall Simmons and Joyce Winters. Also, new board officers were elected. They are Mark Fischer, president; Candace Tustin, vice president; Pat Fitch, secretary; and Cheryl Clark, treasurer. Debbie Wilson is the new assistant treasurer.
With the help of the public, staff and volunteers, the Greene County Historical Society Board of Directors is determined to move the Greene County Historical Society and Museum forward. The Greene County Historical Society has the privilege and honor of preserving Greene County history and culture.
The new faces bring a lifetime of experience and love of local history to the Greene County Historical Society Board. It is the organization’s hope that all members and friends will welcome the new board with the same enthusiasm that they support the historical society’s mission: “To promote an appreciation of Greene County History through the preservation and interpretation of local artifacts and stories in order to educate the public and future generations through a narrative of the rich heritage of Greene County and its surroundings.”
