Pleaders sentenced in county court

WAYNESBURG – A number of criminal defendants pleaded guilty Tuesday before Greene County Judge Farley Toothman and were sentenced. They were:

Ashley Marie Bradley, 21, of 207 Parkview Knoll, Carmichaels; offense – theft; between Dec. 31, 2012 and Jan. 29, 2013, Bradley transferred $735 from her mother’s bank account without her mother’s permission; sentence – 2 years of probation, restitution, $250 fine, 50 hours of community service.

Lewis Jack Orum, 42, of 274 Sugar Run Road, Waynesburg; offenses – driving under the influence of alcohol and a summary traffic violation; arrested Feb. 2, Orum had a blood-alcohol content of 0.312 percent; sentence – following preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Roger Jefferson Weygandt, 26, of 1108 Charles Lane, Uniontown; offenses – DUI, fourth offense in 10 years; one summary violation; arrested Nov. 13, Weygandt had a BAC of 0.145 percent; sentence – following preparation of a pre-sentence report.

Herbert Edward Gump Jr., 41, of 1418 Canadian Court, Virginia Beach, Va.; offense – DUI: arrested Oct. 27, Gump had a BAC of 0.107 percent; sentence – 48 hours to 6 months in jail, $575 in fines.

Kathleen Ann Harmon, 31, of 122 Upper Sandy Road, Greensboro; offense – access device fraud; on March 29, Harmon used another woman’s ATM card to withdraw $200; sentence – 1 year of probation, restitution, $300 fine.

Woodrow Milford Yeater, 28, of 592 Windy Gap Road, Aleppo; offense – DUI, arrested May 25, 2013, Yeater had a BAC of 0.096 percent; sentence – 17 days to 6 month in jail, credit for 17 days served; $375 in fines, 25 hours of community service.

Harry Michael Drew, 21, of 295 E. Greene St., Waynesburg; offenses – DUI and three summary traffic violations; Drew was arrested Dec. 30 after his vehicle struck a parked car in Wayne Alley in Waynesburg; he had a BAC of 0.161 percent; sentence – 5 days to 6 months in jail, credit for 5 days served; $1,625 in fines, $500 in restitution.

In other cases, two defendants who earlier pleaded guilty, were sentenced Wednesday by Toothman.

Cheyenne L. Lowry, 48, of 423 Thanksgiving St., Uniontown; offenses – pleaded guilty Feb. 13 to harassment, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault; he pleaded no contest to terroristic threats; Lowry was arrest April 13, 2013, after he assaulted his girlfriend, fracturing bones in her face, at 415 Sherman Ave., Waynesburg; sentence – 2 years in the county intermediate punishment program with the first 30 days on house arrest and with work release privileges; 1,750 in fines; 100 hours of community service; $4,825.70 in restitution.

Robert Lewis Strickler, 46, of 313 Third St., Mather; offenses – resentenced after being found in violation of the county intermediate punishment program on charges of resisting arrest for one case and resisting arrest, criminal trespass and public drunkenness on another case; on Jan. 13, 2012, he resisted when police attempted to arrest him in regard to a domestic dispute in Mather; on March 19, 2012, he fled police and resisted arrest after a disturbance in Waynesburg and was found hiding in an enclosed carport; sentence – to be evaluated for the state intermediate punishment program.
