Driver identified: State police have identified the driver of a cement truck that crashed Wednesday afternoon on Sunset Beach Road at Route 40, Buffalo, as Robert D. Orth, 50, of Washington. Orth was driving west on Route 40 in a construction zone when he apparently failed to stop for a sign held by a state Department of Transportation flagger who was standing in the middle of the road, police said. He swerved to avoid another truck backing across the middle of the road. The concrete inside the cylinder shifted, causing the truck to roll end over end. The truck went over a guard rail and the cylinder separated from the truck, landing about 50 feet away. Orth had minor injuries.

Woman charged: Jenna Marie Slagle, 22, of Washington, will be charged by state police with disorderly conduct for allegedly screaming at a man in front of 134 Bench Ave., Canton, early Sunday. Police said she was still yelling when troopers arrived. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.
