The following people appeared recently in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:

Christine Bednar, 23, of South Park; first offense of driving under the influence of alcohol; charged Dec. 26; sentence – 60 days on electronic home monitoring, three months of probation, $1,000 fine and a 12-month driver’s license suspension.

Ernest E. McDaniel, 49, of Washington; driving an unregistered vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Jan. 11; sentence – 12 months of probation.

William D. Scott, 22, of Washington; possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Nov. 27; sentence – 12 months of probation.

Frank M. Rauchfuss, 37, of Charleroi; possession of a controlled substance and driving while license suspended; charged Dec 1; sentence – 12 months of probation and a $200 fine.

Numerous people were admitted to the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program for first offenses of driving under the influence. If they successfully complete the program they can petition the court to have their records expunged. Admitted were:

Schuler, 22, of Eighty Four; Jayson M. Darnley, 22, of McDonald; Gena M. Ezzi, 25, of Washington; Stephen P. Miller, 38, of Washington; Justin T. Tuite, 21, of Claysville; Roaine S. Gohacki, 49, of Houston; Kathie M. Dollish, 60, of Canonsburg; Shane E. Jenkins, 22; of Monongahela; Christine Bednar, 23, of South Park; David O. Densen, 61, of Canonsburg; Joy D. Parr, 46, of Washington.
