Hundreds of packets containing heroin and a .45-caliber pistol were seized Thursday from a residence in the Bentleyville Apartments, District Attorney Gene Vittone said.

Vittone said the District Attorney’s Drug Task Force and state police executed the search warrant inside an apartment unit in the complex at 507 Old West Road and found 400 packets that are the equivalent of eight bricks of heroin.

Vittone said police are continuing to investigate and plan to charge the people inside the residence at a later date. He did not name the residents living inside the apartment or say what charges they will face.
