Theft arrest: Ronald J. Povrzenich, 23, of 5 Center St., Allenport, is charged by township police with theft, trespassing and conspiracy, court records state. He is accused of stealing scrap on five occasions last month from the former Skokut Farm, 1094 Route 481, and conspiring to exchange it for $1,468 at a Monongahela scrap yard. He is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Wednesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
Drug arrests: Charleroi residents Kurtis W. Lowe, 24, of 213 Luella Ave., and Jonathan J. Granato, 20, of 922 Meadow Ave., are accused by Charleroi Regional police of selling an undercover officer and confidential informant 10 stamp bags of heroin for $75 about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday outside Lowe’s residence, court records state. Lowe is charged with conspiracy to deliver heroin, criminal use of a communications facility and criminal attempt, and Granato is charged with heroin delivery, drug possession with intent to deliver, criminal conspiracy and criminal use of a communications facility. Both are in Washington County jail on $50,000 bonds set by District Judge Ethan Ward.
Burglary case: State police said a burglary investigation is under way involving thefts from a residence on Hixon Road between 6:30 and 11:06 p.m. Sunday.
Drug charges: City police charged Shaquane Yarbrough, 19, of 279 Locust Ave., Washington, with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver after officers said they found him with a brick of heroin and dozens of stamp bags rolled up in magazines on Oak Street shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday. He was arraigned by District Judge Robert Redlinger and taken to Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Disorderly conduct charge: Walter J. Jones Jr., 34, of 110 Grant St., Burgettstown, was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness after Washington police said he broke a car window outside 525 N. Franklin St. May 24.
Son accused of punching father: Zachary L. Giecek, 19, of 985 Arch St., Washington, faces a simple assault charge after city police said he punched his father, Terry, in the face multiple times while the two were driving in the 1200 block of Jefferson Avenue May 12.
Indecent exposure charge: William R. Montgomery, 23, of 1020 Findlay St., Canton Township, was charged Thursday with indecent exposure following a Dec. 1 incident in which city police said he allegedly made lewd comments to a co-worker and offered to show her a cellphone photo of his genitalia at an office building in the 900 block of Jefferson Avenue.
