MOUNT OLIVER, Pa. (AP) — As many as nine houses in the Pittsburgh area are believed to have been damaged or destroyed in a fast-moving fire.

The fire broke out around 10 a.m. in Mount Oliver and was brought under control a couple hours later. No fatalities or serious injuries were reported, although a 69-year-old woman taken to the hospital was expected to be OK and a firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.

At least four of the houses appeared to be destroyed.

About 100 firefighters from Mount Oliver, Castle Shannon, Mount Lebanon and Pittsburgh responded.

Pittsburgh Public Safety Director Michael Huss says the fire started in one home and spread to at least eight others, at one point jumping the street.
