Teresa Reece’s winery has a touch of Southern comfort.

Reece Winery has opened at 132 Fourth St., McDonald. Reece and her husband, Mitchell, are winemakers who moved to McDonald from North Carolina last year.

She said their products are distinctive and feature a combination of grapes and juices from fruits grown in North Carolina with “just a hint of Southern charm.”

Teresa Reece, the owner, said they have red, white and sweet wines and other homemade products.

Customers can taste seven wines for $5, and for $6, can purchase a glass of wine and keep a Reece Winery glass.

Hours are 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, noon to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
