The Southwest Pennsylvania Woodland Owners Association will meet at the Warrior Trail Association Headquarters in Fordyce, 1346 Garard’s Fort Road, at 1 p.m. Saturday.

There, in the former one-room school house, which contains artifacts and materials collected since the Warrior Trail was remarked in the late 1960s, Llew Williams will talk briefly about the history of this ridge trail, and then lead a short hike, which promises nice views and a peek at how the 21st century landscape might be changing.

There will be opportunities to assess the health of the woods and practice tree identification.

All are welcome and those planning to attend are to meet at 12:30 p.m. at the Greene County Fairgrounds outside building 10 to caravan or car pool.
