Wife allegedly fought with ‘other woman’
MATHER – State police arrested a Morgan Township woman Thursday after she entered a residence and began to threaten a woman who allegedly is involved with her estranged husband.
Lisa Eileen Basinger, 48, of 39 Reesman’s Mobile Home Park, Waynesburg, has been charged with criminal trespass, burglary occupied structure, harassment and disorderly conduct.
According to a criminal complaint filed before Greene County Magisterial District Judge Glenn Bates, Basinger allegedly walked into the residence of Krista Lynn Bedilion, at 505 Fifth St., Mather, and began calling Bedilion names and threatening to “get her.”
Bedilion told state police she previously told Basinger she was not allowed on her property and confirmed she is in a relationship with Basinger’s estranged husband, Samuel Basinger.
According to the complaint, Bedilion’s daughter heard the kitchen door open and soon the two women confronted each other. Bedilion allegedly grabbed Basinger by the throat and threw her out of the house.
When Basinger was interviewed at the state police barracks, she said she went to Bedilion’s residence to get a pickup truck belonging to her husband. She said she told Bedilion she wanted the truck and Bedilion slammed the door on her.
Basinger was placed in the Greene County jail on $10,000 cash bond. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:45 p.m. June 23 before Bates.
