Xi Lambda Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority will meet at 6 p.m. today in the home of Susan Christopher. Installation of officers will be held and secret sisters will be revealed. Members are asked to being a covered dish.

Community Sewing Circle of Time will meet Friday for an all-day meeting in the social room of the Union Valley United Methodist Church. Jan Greene will be hostess and program leader. Word for roll call is “life.”

Rices Landing American Legion Post 816 will hold a dinner and motorcycle ride from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday to benefit homeless veterans. The band, Hit and Run, will perform at 5 p.m. The cost of the dinner is $10 and will include spaghetti, meatballs and salad. Registration for the bike ride begins at 11 a.m. at the post home.
