Job Fair to be held Friday at Greene County Fairgrounds

WAYNESBURG – People looking for jobs or new careers are invited to attend the Tri-County Oil and Gas Employment Expo, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Greene County Fairgrounds.

The annual event is sponsored by the Tri-County Energy Alliance in conjunction with the Pennsylvania CareerLink of Beaver, Washington, Mon Valley and Greene County.

Employers in attendance will be looking for people for a wide range of skilled, unskilled and professional positions.

“We have 38 employers with numerous openings: from laborers to truck drivers and mechanics and some professional positions such as environmental technicians and financial planners for gas and oil,” said Barbara Cole, administrator of Pennsylvania CareerLink of Greene County.

Those seeking jobs will be able to talk to representatives of the various companies, leave resumes and apply for job openings. They should come prepared to talk to company representatives, dressed appropriately and with resumes in hand.

Pennsylvania CareerLink will have its mobile computer lab on site for those companies that require an on line application. Staff will also be available from Pennsylvania CareerLinks to assist job seekers in their search for employment.
