Identity theft: William Hoffman of Locust Street, Muse, reported that between April 21 and May 14, about 11 charges totaling nearly $1,000 were made to his credit card, mostly online, without his knowledge. Hoffman is not sure how his account was compromised, township police said.

Woman charged: Nikki Lynn Clark, 21, of 113 Liberty Ave., Belle Vernon, was charged Wednesday by Monongahela police with failure to furnish drug-free urine. Police were alerted by a Washington County Adult Probation officer after Clark allegedly appeared for a scheduled meeting wearing a device that held someone else’s urine. Police say she admitted to using heroin. Clark was placed in Washington County jail on a probation violation. The charge will be sent from the office of District Judge Mark Wilson.

Garage vandalized: Amanda McCoy of 144 Blaine St. told North Franklin police Tuesday that red paint was sprayed on her garage.

PFA violation alleged: William C. Harps, 48, of Claysville, was charged last week by North Franklin police with violating a protection-from-abuse order for allegedly contacting his former girlfriend, Cathy Ringer, at a home on Park Avenue. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Theft charge: Ronae M. Patterson, 35, of 22 E. Prospect Ave., Washington, was charged last week by North Franklin police with retail theft. She is accused of stealing $137.77 in items from Marshalls, Washington Crown Center. Police say she returned the items for a gift card that she then exchanged for cash. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.

Disorderly, harassment charges: David Lee Sumney, 25, of 507 Hickory Circle, Canonsburg, was charged Wednesday by North Strabane police with disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness stemming from an incident Sunday at Glencannon pool. Police were called for a report of an intoxicated man refusing to leave. Police said Sumney drank vodka mixed with a sports drink and consumed prescription medication. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Criminal mischief: The rear passenger window of a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 200 block of King Richard Drive was broken out Monday afternoon, possibly by a shot from a BB or pellet gun.

Theft: Between Saturday evening and Monday morning, someone entered a vehicle parked in the 100 block of McClintock Drive and stole a bank deposit slip and a business check from the sun visor. Other business documents also were stolen. The owner got to the bank in time to prevent any loss.
