Numerous people recently appeared in Washington County Court on criminal charges. Appearing before Judge John DiSalle were:
Joseph C. Kevech, 40, 121 Monroe St., Monongahela; theft and criminal mischief; charged May 29, 2013; sentence – 23 months of probation, restitution and no contact with the victim.
Jeffrey A. McKewan, 55, 46 Dawson Road, Denbo; two counts of forgery and theft by deception; charged March 29, 2013; sentence – 3 to 23 months in jail and restitution.
Kenneth R. Whitaker, 43, 1901 W. Chestnut St., Washington; false insurance claims and criminal solicitation; charged Nov. 8, 2012; sentence – 1 to 23 months of electronic home monitoring, 5 years of probation and banned from Washington Crown Center.
Lauren E. Dumm, 26, 706 Crest Ave., Charleroi; theft and possession of drug paraphernalia; charged Oct. 20; sentence – 12 months of probation, Subutex program, contraband destroyed and funds forfeited.
Jeffrey M. Miller, 33, 214 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown; endangering the welfare of children, theft, defiant trespass and possession of a controlled substance; charged Jan. 29, 2013; sentence – 6 to 23 months in jail or, upon approval, 6 to 23 months of electronic home monitoring at a recovery house, no contact with minor child and restitution.
Sheila R. Urwin, 53, 1113 Route 837; Monongahela, possession of drug paraphernalia; charged May 15, 2013; sentence – 6 months of probation.
Michael D. Green, 36, 414 Indiana Ave., Monessen; disorderly conduct; charged Feb. 24, 2013; sentence – $100 fine
Appearing before Judge Gary Gilman were:
Angie D. Monzon, 36, 512 E. Chestnut St., Washington; simple assault; charged Aug. 16; sentence – 18 months of probation, continue with mental health counseling and no contact with the victim.
James W. Price, 27, 104 E. Katherine Ave., Washington; simple assault, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a small amount of marijuana; charged Nov. 15, 2010; sentence – 18 months of probation and domestic violence counseling.
Appearing before Judge Valarie Costanzo was:
Larry R. Filby, 46, 66 Circle St., Clarksville; theft; charged Nov. 4; sentence – 23 months of probation, restitution and no contact with victims.
