Heroin possession charge: Dennis L. Frankovich, 33, of California, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct after borough police said they were called to his home at 904 Ridge St. for a report of an overdose June 18. Frankovich was taken by ambulance to Mon Valley Hospital for treatment, police said.
Burglary reported: Four pieces of jewelry and change were reported missing from a bedroom of a home on North DePaoli Road at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The jewelry, owned by Patricia and Arnold White, is valued at $3,400, township police said. There was no forced entry. The items were last seen Monday.
Two arrests: Two people were taken into custody at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday after they were found walking on Montour Trail near Morganza and Georgetown roads, township police said. Joshua Boston, 26, of 1269 Terrace St., Bridgeville, was placed in Washington County jail on two outstanding warrants for probation violations in Washington County and Allegheny County, police said. Jennifer Lawlor, 23, of 67 Rutherford Drive, Upper St. Clair, was charged with possession of controlled substances after police said they found 10 stamp bags of heroin and marijuana in a box.
Street signs stolen: Two street signs on Martha and Anderson streets were reported stolen between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday, township police said. The signs are valued at $180.
Wallet stolen: A wallet was stolen from a car parked at Motel 6 in South Strabane on Tuesday night, township police said. Police said a credit card was used to make one purchase before the victim canceled the account.
Pair arrested: State police accuse Mark Allan Ratica, 24, of 141 Knob Road, California, of attempting to steal a television from Wal-Mart, 134 Daniel Kendall Drive, about 1 p.m. Wednesday, and then driving off with his girlfriend after store security attempted to stop him, court records state. He is charged with retail theft. His girlfriend, Amanda Leigh Toia, 22, also of 141 Knob Road, is charged with conspiracy, solicitation and driving with a suspended license. Both are in Washington County jail on $35,000 bonds set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.
