Man charged: Errett Robert Mahle, 23, of Nemacolin was arrested Saturday night by Cumberland Township police after he allegedly struck a woman in the face and attempted to strike another man with a tire iron. Mahle was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was released on $1,000 bond and faces a preliminary hearing on March 10. Police said Mahle was intoxicated and went to 123 Bliss Ave. in Nemacolin about 11 p.m. and argued with the occupants. He allegedly struck Maddie Smith in the face and attempted to strike David Smith with a four-way tire iron, police said.

Harassment: Jarret Roberts, no age given, of Greensboro was charged with harassment after becoming involved in an alleged altercation with Dee Dee Anderson of Greensboro at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday at 141 Hillman St., state police said.
