Autopsy slated on man, 72, killed by snowplow in Reading

READING (AP) – An autopsy is scheduled Tuesday on an elderly pedestrian struck and killed by a snowplow in eastern Pennsylvania.

Emergency crews were called to a street in Reading shortly before 11:30 a.m. Monday.

The 72-year-old victim was rushed to Reading hospital and pronounced dead a short time later. The name of the victim hasn’t been released.

Police and the forensic unit of the Berks County district attorney’s office are investigating.

Public works officials and the mayor’s office have not commented on the accident.
