Police say man killed when car hits utility pole

MARKLEYSBURG (AP) – A Western Pennsylvania man was killed when his car struck a utility pole.

State police said Sunday that 54-year-old Chris McDonald of Markleysburg was pronounced dead at the scene of the Saturday afternoon crash

Authorities say McDonald was driving along Braddock Road in Markleysburg in Fayette County when his car veered off the road for unknown reasons and it struck the pole.

Police say McDonald was not wearing a seat belt.
