A North Strabane Township man faces a charge of failing to furnish drug-free urine after he reportedly tried to pass off someone else’s clean sample as his own.

Chartiers Township police said David Eugene Mollner, 23, of 1206 Pioneer Trail, was at the station at 11 a.m. Monday to meet with his probation officer and provide a urine sample as part of his probation.

Mollner pleaded guilty Dec. 6 to drug charges before Judge Edward Borkowski. He was placed on probation for 12 months and ordered by Borkowski to undergo periodic drug testing.

The adult probation officer accompanied Mollner to the restroom in the station to conduct the testing where he discovered that Mollner was wearing a device around his waist containing drug-free urine.

Mollner told probation Officer Joel Walsh that his own urine would contain a controlled substance.

He was placed in Washington County jail on a probation violation.

The charge will be filed at the office of District Judge David Mark.
